A Beauty in Tragedy
(Original Post from My Christian Identity. )
Post from January 7, 202112:58am
If my Papa is still alive, he would be 68 years old today (too old compared to the fathers of my friends I know 🙃🙂).
He was a son, a brother, a twin, a friend, a husband and a father.
He is not the best father but I believe that he loves us in his own little ways. He is also not of the same faith and he died tragically (almost 18years ago by now) but we cannot bring back the time to change that.
All I am saying is, instead of remembering the dead, all I can 🤔 think of right now is how thankful I am to God for his life, for without him (Papa), there is no me.
Every second of everyday that we wake up is a gift from God for us as a chance to better ourselves, repenting, and living by faith. ☺☺☺
As a Christian, we should not dwell on the bad things from the past, but take that as an opportunity to thank God everyday because on that moment of loss and devastation, He found us and healed us and forgave us, and accepted us on His wonderful family.
I may never have a physical father ever again, but I found a Heavenly Father and that is far exceedingly more precious than any natural fathers in this world.
Let us all learn from these verses:
2 Corinthians 4:13-18
13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”[b] Since we have that same spirit of[c] faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
